C3 Community Crank..Vol.2

May 06, 2010
..I've been thinking about a silly question lately… why do people like rock climbing?! Why is it fun? Until I got a chance to kick butt at it and then it was REALLY fun! When I first started climbing I realized that once you start, you can’t give up, you have to just keep trying over and over again. I realized that if I don’t give up and if I give it a lot of effort, I could rip it up all the way to the TOP... even though it might take a long time to get there, I want to finish STRONG!

SHIT! I'm scared of Gecko's
..When everything in this country is hot, the big protest in B-Town, some people have died due to the shooting, and some people loosing their job as well, things are super complicated. As long as I am a Thai, I will always love my country but if we still have this bad situation it will be difficult for Thailand to become a developed country, everything will get worse.. Dude! are you Thai? Let’s make it better!

..Even though the situation in B-Town seems like it’s getting worse, it does not mean everything is so bad in Thailand, "LIFE GOES ON" we were thinking about to the competition in CM-Town for so long and my dream finally came true! After 3 years, we had the C3 Community Crank Competition at CMRCA. I was so stoked and my hands got so pumped before the comp because of all the hard work we put into it. We were planning for about a week before the event, so we set up the schedule and announced to our members that we would be working, my job was to set the routes for the comp, I've been learning how to set up the problems with JStar(Jonathan Siegrist) Pro climber for a while and when he sets up routes he puts tiny foot holds because when people first start climbing, they don't know how to use their feet, and this is best way for them to learn to use their feet, It is so important!. We (NStar, Muad and My self) took about 3 days before the competition to mop up all 25 problems on the wall! I’m so excited for tomorrow man… Ryeah!!!

CMRCA crews mops up the wall a week before the comp Woohhhh!
..The results of the Community Crank Competition at CMRCA as reported by RStr: congratulation for our winning "Junior Crank Master" in each category: Sean (boy under13-10), Victor (boy under10), and only one girl Georgia (under10), and congratulation for everyone who competed from" Rising Star to "Crank Master" big props for the male and female winner "Uthit Yodkhama(Sorn) and Illona Plankensteiner, I was so happy that everyone could rip it up on our problems! My hands got so wet when they were competing. I was super nervous that they wouldn’t be able to climb it, so that was the good day for me to improve my ability to make the nice problem! Here’s some photos from the comp.

Fam! (CMRCA) Community!

May 16, 2010
..Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventure was established in 2002 by Mr. Joshua Morris, a young American, who had a lot of confidence and followed his dream to find something exceptional in life. He came to Chiang Mai for the first time in 1999 with PIA program.. ( Princeton in Asia).. after he graduated. He got a job teaching English at Payap University, but English teacher it wasn't not the dream that he was following...In 2000 he has been working with THE PEAK ADVENTURE! for manager of the climbing wall at the night bazaar for a couple of years and he met a young beautiful Thai girl P'Kat ( his wife ) but eventually he and khun Pichai the owner had a different vision of rock climbing, in addition to this, he also started bolting at Crazy Horse with his mate Francis Haden. They made many new routes. Josh went back to America for vocation with P'Kat, he was thinking so much about the future and what he wanted to do after he left the PEAK. During their vacation, they were thinking about opening their own business and in order to continue reaching their goals.
Great! Wedding you guys!
..I've been rock climbing for 3 year since i finished school, and rock climbing has changed my life a lot. I have met so many friends from all over the world, I started to learn English and I started to realize what my own goals are… Dude! I am so lucky that I work with them, there are not too many companies that empower their employees the way that CMRCA does..

RStar romp up on 11d " Inferno".. Real photo
In 2010 CMRCA has now been established for 7 years, and the company has grown up a lot. We continue to rock climb and we have expanded our activities to CAVING and COOPERATE TEAM BUILDING..

CMRCA big Fam!
..In Thailand today was so bad, because the protests in Bangkok are getting worse and worse, too many people have died or been injured! Radical people can do to crazy things and I am worried about what will happen with this country and I hope that I could still have a job! but the positives thing is that, I can take this time to create something new and good for the FAM and prepare myself for when everything it peaceful..

oh..man Radical peeps!!RStar&NStar were there when everything was peaceful
..The CMRCA community has begun, it took us a long time to figure out that we could make a very strong community, we had a lot of good old school friends, P' Dan, P' Marshall and P' Megan, P' Ben, JStar, P' Jeff, P' Josh.com, Luang Steave, Ted Conbeer and other ones all around the world...much thanks to those guys, but my eyes really want to see that the rock climbing community should have a lot of Thai climbers also, that is my wish, so right now we had some more people sign up for became our member v10 communities, P' Bastiaan, P' Alan and John, WELCOME you guys to the CMRCA community and let’s go climbing together!

Our rad! Communities..
to be continues..

..This is i want to say thank you so much to my girlfriend Jayn!! and give her for a big ProP.. that she was helping me a lot to edited such as nice article.. you are the BEST!

THankful!!

MAy 11, 2010
..It's hard work to become a professional...I've been so busy with work during the last couple weeks, we went to clean the new area at the Crazy Horse Buttress, it is almost finished but there are still some loose rocks left and we are going to take it down soon!! Ryeah!!
Reunion Buddha Buttress

Does RStar ever look clean?
Crazy Horse is an entertaining experience at any level. The rock tends towards the technically vertical and slightly overhanging with a few wildly steep routes thrown in because, hey, we are in Thailand.

Conscientiously bolted to be safe for a climber who is climbing their hardest at each grade, Crazy Horse allows a climber to really indulge in the technical aspect of the rock, never distracted by the fear of a dangerous fall. It is not unusual to find crimpy edges and juggy pockets with a few tufa pulls and a hand jam or two on any particular climb. The majority of routes fall into the French 6b range, but with 180 routes there are plenty at all grades.

Try the technical masterpiece Balance of Power (7a+) or the perplexing classic Reindeer Request (6a). For those who like climbing from tufa to tufa across the roof of a cave, try out what must be the most unlikely sport climb in the world: Anxiety State Crisis (7a, 2 pitches). ASC is a truly beautiful line, the kind that makes your jaw drop as you think "I need to climb that."

We pride ourselves on having created one of the most safe, comfortable, fun, and user-friendly crags in the world. You will never forget your trip to Crazy Horse Buttress.(www.Thailandclimbing.com)

RStar on 5.11c (Bee House)
..I'm very impressed that I work with super climbing crews!.. I am so thankful and so happy that I got Participate in placing the new routes and developing an area... we've got 2 new routes coming up at the Crazy Horse now!, come check it out you guys, we hope to see you soon!..

RStar romps up the 125-foot (5.10+), Heart wall

..Check it out on Climbing Magazine No.283 Green Issue, March 2010, (www.climbing.com).., also Thank you for Marisa Aragon Ware for such a nice article

Do Things (you) Love

May04 ,2010
It has been so hot and very sticky during the last two months in CM-TOwn the temperature has been high, 40 degree that is so HOT! Also we had the Thai new year SONG KRAN FESTIVAL 2010 it was so amazing and fun to see the EPIC Thai culture, everyone had a fantastic time together. Also Song Kran day in Thailand is family day , some people were working in different places and come back home to visit their FAM!
Song Kran Festival 2010
In the last two months I went on a road trip to the competition in Bangkok and a rad journey to the underworld at Doi Angkang. Doi Angkang has a huge cave system and we tried to find the exit to the neighboring country, BURma. It was so bad ass and such a great experience, not to many people could get such a cool opportunity like CMRCA has given to me... so Rad!

RStar on the 1st route of TC 2010

Rad! Underworld Journey Trip
I felt super STOKED to do some more bolting at the Crazy Horse Buttress , it took me a while to realize why I had to learn how to bolt and why I had to learn the hard way, but in the end it was the best way. If I didn't work for CMRCA, I would probably choose the easier way for my self and it wouldn’t be such a challenge for me. But i work with the SUPER rad company that makes my life so exciting everyday!
There are so many areas at Crazy Horse to developed and other areas to sustain for it to become one of the nicest climbing places in Thailand and SE Asia...Bolting has begun!

RStar & Captain Muady
As soon! the rain will come to Thailand and the trees will change color again and it won't be hot anymore yeah!!!!! I'm so excited for the rain!!! I hope everyone can find something that they love to do even if it will take for a long time... don't give up!!!
Cheers!

DEad RoBBeR waTERfaLL CaVe!

April 11 , 2010
It was about a 3hr drive, in a big blue truck, to get to our destination, Doi Angkang where my bosses had their wedding. It was so far from the CM-Town about, 200 km,and the road was very windy, such a big mountain, and you could easily feel dizzy if you were not use to it. Doi Angkang is such a beautiful place, the most beautiful place I have ever been to, it was so green and had many big trees. The most wonderful thing for me about the place was the FOOD and WEATHER. I am so glad that there are such nice places in Thailand, and I also saw the cool hill tribe and their lifestyle, it is so VERY simple isn’t like the city and people’s lifestyle where everyone is crazy and competes with each other and every one wants to make a lot of money or as much as they can. Money isn’t every thing and doesn’t mean you will have a good life, maybe the simple hill tribe people have understand something city people don’t!
RoCkStr & Cave Expedition Team
The CMRCA caving expedition team led by Josh Morris and Ajarn Martin, and the CMRCA crews!. We got to our destination on Friday, a beautiful night, we had such a nice diner together and smelled the nice beautiful nature all around us. We were planning to spend time underground, about 11 hours, so we bought a lot of food and prepared for ourselves as much as possible, carrying our own food. We woke up so early morning on Saturday and we started to rigging to underground on about nine o'clock, and the first exploring for The CMRCA expedition team was called THe DEad RobbeR WaterFall CavE. After the breathtaking 65 meter rappel into the main opening which led to the second missive chamber, we continued on to find the exit that led to Burma that we had heard from the local people, and finally we got to the bottom that we were hoping to get to, with the cold water on running underground.

It's gonna be SICK man!
It has been for one more year, and my BIRTHDAY is here again! I turned TWENTY TREE year old this year. Every year I celebrate my birthday by going out to party with my friends, but this year was so bad ass because I was rigging into the underground with such a good cave expedition team, and for my birthday, I can go partying with my friends any time, but it’s no the same as when you get to do something awesome for your life, like my caving trip was for me. I had a very great time celebrating my birth day in the bottom of the earth; it was so cool! It’s almost Song Kran festival in Thailand I would like to wish everyone happy Thai New year! I hope you have a great time, enjoy the water and be safe!!!!!

Cheers!

Taste of TC 2009

April 05, 2010
It's been for a while after i got back from Bangkok, I've been so busy with worked a lot and did not have time to updated my blog!. I just went to the crag, bolting the new route, there is the new line that we found it out there and we got to go there cleaning up the rock as soon as possible, and another thing that I've been doing it. It is i VERY want to less my self for a bit and been hanging out with friends or did something else instead.

Taste of TC 2009

The Sport Climbing Association of Thailand or as SCAT. They made the Thailand climbing competition down in Bangkok it was the big competition and to many Thai climber came for compete on that time, and i was there for join also. Before i was there i made the goals
1. I want to meet other climber from other province
2. I gain try to on sight 2 route
3. I saw my good ability after serious training 2 month
4. Smile

And I've got success on my goals two of those four goals, that was so good and made me keep it up training to become a good climber in Thailand. Unfortunately i saw to many of Thai sport climbing athlete they were smoked a lot, and i was realized that why they never get to the top of Asian Championship, and i won't says they are not good. But after i saw it i was so happy that i was quitting smoking.

RoCkStr

The result of the competition on this year for my self it was so good I've got seven placed of seventeen climbers but i was lookin' to the next Thailand competition in the end of this year and i already set up my goal. It is the person i want to beat it up is myself and i want to win my self. That's me!!!
See you again TC competition in the end of this year!
